Sorry

     I know that this one single word doesn't really mean much, nor does it fix anything. But you all deserve an apology. I haven't posted anything for quite some time now. And that's not fair to you all. I will however explain what has been going on that has brought my writing to a screeching halt.

     Life in general this year has been pretty rough. Early this year the love of my life walked out. She left her business, her stuff, even her cat with me. It left me pretty torn up. I've sense been dealing with it and working on getting my own life together. I realized that I lived my life for someone else, and that in the end, didn't make me happy. So on top of dealing with that mess, I have been keeping my job and working very hard towards moving up in my company. So while that's not bad news, it does keep me busy. I've also been tasked with finishing all of the commissions sense "I was the one who was paid for them". Most have been paid for well over a year or two but that's all besides the point. So I'm working my normal job away from home and trying to get those done on my days off.

     I was doing very well on writing every single day, at least one thousand words, but even that fell apart. I woke up late one morning, had an event early the next after a late night shift and it all just went downhill from there.

     In short, it seems like my life is just falling apart. I don't always have access to internet so that doesn't help with posting things. It's just crazy. I do however hope to get back on track soon. Today being a day where I'm actually writing. So I'm trying. Little steps.

Silver Mane update

     I finally got myself back on track and am happy to announce that this Wednesday there will be another Silver Mane post. I'm also working on a few other little things that are exciting to me, so be on the lookout.

I goofed again

     This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but I lost track of the days again. I do have some good news about it though. I at least have the next few chapters outlined. So I'm hoping that over my next few days off that I can get those all typed up and ahead of the game.

Sad news

     The day finally came where a ten hour work day derailed everything. I've cheated myself from making progress. That also sadly means that I didn't get around to finishing up this week's werewolf Wednesday  post. I am however, able to make posts easily here from my 'new' phone. So I can at least do some small things.

Working on Silver Mane

You've read that right! I've been hard at work over the past week getting new storyline done and I've had time to focus on getting more of "Silver Mane" done. That means that finally this Sunday it looks like there will be a new post. I'm very excited to see this come back to life.

I hope that you are all still enjoying it (even with lack of updates) and if you are, please let me know! Those little comments will help drive me to write more and have more frequent updates.

Small Steps

Recently (aka over the past week) I’ve still been working towards getting myself back into the habit of writing. So far so good. I’ve even been able to make some slow progress on “Silver Mane”. Not nearly as much as I would like to, but something is better than nothing.

I also am not sure what else to be posting for these between posts. I want to work on other shorts as well and start cranking out new novels, but focusing on this defiantly takes a good chunk of time away from it. I also don’t want to lose interest in writing this blog and sharing things with you all. I just need more hours in a day it seems. Or at least more focus for those hours.

I’m also wondering if anyone would like to read small one time shorts (under 500 words) here. Not just the ongoing series, but perhaps small tidbits that will tie into novels that I am working on? Perhaps even chapter bits?

     Alright, so while I can't promise much at this point, I can say this. I'm finally starting to feel better. I can actually focus and breath and not die when I walk. So maybe now I can get back to focusing on writing and working on Silver Mane, I miss it way too much.

Very Sick Kitty

     So what I thought was just something minor, turned out to be a full blown sinus infection. My head has been swimming all week and that my dears is sadly why I haven't posted a thing. Even general daily things have been hard. Even just standing to do a load of dishes or to cook dinner has exhausted me. So I am very sorry for not getting things posted or worked on, but I made the crazy decision to put my own health first. Frankly, it's been boring and I doubt I'll do it again. haha

Silver Mane Web Series

     I am very happy to see myself make such progress on this series. I have a bad habit of starting too many projects at once, and never finishing any of them. This however, I just posted part 6. I've been working on it well over a month now and while I don't feel like it's moving fast enough, I do feel like I'm getting there. This project was more of a personal challenge for myself to just keep writing. Regularly. I've honestly written more this year so far than I normally do over a few months. This project was also meant to be a drawn out process. Once it does run out however, I will be starting a new one. (But that's a good while off.) Silver Mane also runs side by side to a full length novel that I plan on publishing sometime later this year. We are about to start getting into the good parts of this romance, and at a later time if I do publish it, it will have some added mature content. Not here though. I'm going to try and keep this as PG-13 as I personally can.

New Year, New Goals

     So last year I did what I did. It wasn't a bad year for me and I am beyond proud of myself. (We all need a little self love sometimes.) I published a total of 5 shorts, and read a lot of books. My favorite this year, was Winterwood. A beautiful pirate novel where a woman has to find herself, by figuring out her past. I really enjoyed it, so go check it out if you're into female leads.

     I didn't do as much as I wanted to. I had high hopes for myself to release quite a few more shorts and even a novel or two. I just didn't get there this time. I also didn't finish my NaNoWriMo this year. I came close with around 40,000 words, but work bogged me down with the holidays. I'll perhaps try again next year.

      I learned a lot. I found myself in my writing and found what works of mine really sing, and what ones didn't. That was a surprise. I also found out that I could write a 40,000 word novel while working two jobs. That was also a surprise.

     My hopes for this year. To write. To keep writing. To pour my heart onto the pages for you all to enjoy, but mostly to just get the voices out of my head. I do plan on redoing this blog. I want to shift my focus from just updates to more of a free web series. I will be testing the waters on this project over the next few weeks.

Just a normal update

     I have picked up a few jobs for the holiday season, so the next few weeks will be crazy for me. I will be working said normal jobs, as well as participating in NaNoWriMo next month, all while still trying to stay sane. It's pretty much not going to happen. Also I have poofed because my net is currently down for a little bit. I will have it on the days when I am up in the city, so I will try to crunch in as many posts as I can in those days and schedule them. (such a nice feature!)

     Anyway, none of you are here to listen to me ramble. You want to know when the next book is coming out and what's going on with that. Well I have some good news and bad news.

     Good news, I've been working on a new lesbian romance/fantasy novel and am already nearing 10,000 words on the draft, and I'm only about a week into this one. So it's gonna be massive. My goal for it is around 50,000 words total and to push it out around March or April of next year. We'll see how that goes. Again, November is taking priority. That will be another 50,000 word lesbian fantasy romance, but more aimed toward the fantasy. You'll hear more about that all later. (AKA all through November!)

     Bad news is that the new short due out, is still at round two with the editors. I'm hoping that I can push it through within the next week, so you should still be seeing it fairly soon.

     That's about all I have for now, not much reading going on, but how about an excerpt from the book you are all waiting for?

Procrastinating

     Procrastinating, it's just about my favorite thing to do. When it comes to editing, I do it more than ever. It makes me mad while I do it, but it's almost like an addiction. Like right now! I'm halfway through editing a chapter, but decided to tell you all about it instead. I'm also going to tell you I made bread today! The chapter is still not finished.

     I have noticed today (day 3 or 4 of editing), it's getting easier to run through it. I'm far from enjoying it, but today I don't feel like I'm just staring at the screen. Then again, I know I'm not because I'm over here, rambling and wasting my time. I'm also checking facebook and my amazon sales sheet, because the lack of numbers slightly drives me? Some days? No idea, all I know is I need to get back to editing. So while you continue to waste time on the internet, check out my books! Give me a reason to look at my amazon sales sheet!
